Lagoon Closures

M. L. Chartier, Inc. has worked on numerous lagoon closures in the past several years. Samples are taken prior to mobilization and bench tested to ensure that the best additive is used to minimize disposal costs, or to ensure sludges that are left in place are properly stabilized to eliminate any future leaching.

Whenever it is more practical to dewater lagoon sludges, a portable filter press may be used to process the material and reduce the volume to be shipped off-site. Personnel used on these types of projects have extensive training to guarantee that the job will progress in a professional and timely manner.
Skilled M.L.C. technicians perform soil and sludge sample testing, determine correct additive/sludge mixture ratios, and develop cost-effective waste removal and disposal plans.
